Candy with meaning

Jonathan Hardin Chapter, NSDAR, presents Freestone County Sheriff Jeremy Shipley with a bowl of candy to share with his deputies and employees. Each piece of candy given has its own meaning, such as LifeSavers to remind them of the many times they’ve been one. The many first responders in our rural area are greatly appreciated, and they all work together for our safety. THS Marching Band advances to area competition

The Mighty Teague High School Marching Band earned straight 1s from all three judges for a superior performance at the UIL 3A Region 8 Marching Contest held at Troy High School on Wednesday, Oct. 15.
