Solar Eclipse - What an Amazing Sight
“Oooh”s and “Ahhh”s could be heard when the Solar Eclipse hit its totality at 1:41 p.m. in Freestone County on Monday, April 8. The entire event was amazing to watch, but the two minutes and 21 seconds of totality was an amazing sight for all to experience.
County gets over half a million in fed funds
Freestone County has now received the funds from the federal government through Senate Bill 22, and Commissioners Court accepted the funds: $350,000 for the Sheriff’s Office; and $175,000 for the District Attorney’s Office.
TISD approves 2024-25 calendar
The Teague ISD board of trustees approved the 20242025 academic calendar at the March 26 school board meeting. The first day of school is set for Wednesday, Aug. 14. Staff development days for teachers will be Aug. 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, and 13.
TISD honors faculty/staff members
Teague ISD honored its Employee, Teacher, and Administrator of the Month at its March board meeting on Tuesday, March 26. All board members were present except for Justin Lee.
