Collins’ House to be featured on tour
Referred to as the “Collins’ House” because of Teague residents’ living memories, was built in the 1800s by Dr. Felix Grundy Traynham and his wife, Lillie Coleman, at 814 Magnolia St.
Commissioners get update on high-speed rail opposition
Freestone County commissioners received a hopeful update on progress of the high-speed rail line the county has been fighting for several years. That happened during their Dec. 4 meeting, when the court also heard about another opioid settlement, about a fire truck swap and made other decisions concerning the county’s finances and well-being.
Parade of Lights Thursday in Teague
The Teague Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its Parade of Lights tonight, Dec. 5, at 6 p.m. The line-up will begin at 5:30 p.m. on North 3rd facing Main Street. The parade will end at the 8th Ave City Park. All entries must have lights.
