R.F. Hall was a fine athlete and even better person when he played for the Teague football team in the early 1960s.
Oh my goodness I cannot believe the cold mornings. It has been very pleasant for my drivers on Route 1 and 2 delivering the meals. Although the weather forecast for temperatures elevating to highs in 80s even 90 on weekends. Every⁴3 weone enjoyed an especially good meal last Monday. It was one of our favorites on the menu, hamburger steak with brown gravy and onions, fried okra, delicious macaroni and cheese and fresh pineapple. Thanks to Carol Biggar and Vicki Cheek for not only delivering the meals twice a week on Route 2, they also both alternate going to Fairfield to bring the lunches over to our Center in Teague. Thanks to Pat Holleyman for the delicious Cherry poke cake Tuesday. Thanks to Debbie tugwell for the assortment of glazed donuts Wednesday morning. We Bingoed early Wednesday haha. Freestone County Commissioners approved tax abatements for several solar projects at their meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 18; and also established Reinvestment Zones for two of the solar projects.
Fourteen constitutional amendments proposed by the Texas Legislature will be on the Nov. 7 ballot, and proponents of the overhaul to the 1876 document are banking on the state’s historic budget surplus of $32.7 billion to help convince voters to pass them.
