Mrs. Taylor of Teague Junior HIgh School is named Teacher of the Week. The TJH staff wonderful teacher with a huge heart who loves her students and colleagues. She goes to extraordinary lengths to show her devotion to them all. Brookshire Brothers was one of the many places that served the community recently during the winter storm that left many without electricity, water, internet, and phone service for hours, days, and some for the week or longer.
Freestone county schools will decide soon whether students will wear face masks the rest of the school year, after the state mandate requiring them to be worn was rescinded last week.
After two weeks of no new reported cases of COVID-19 in area schools, no new student cases and only a single staff case was reported for the week of February 28.
