Pope returns to Chronicle and Recorder

Attorney General Ken Paxton today announced that his Election Fraud Unit assisted the Limestone County Sheriff and District Attorney in charging Kelly Reagan Brunner, a social worker in the Mexia State Supported Living Center (SSLC), with 134 felony counts of purportedly acting as an agent and of election fraud. If convicted, Brunner faces up to 10 years in prison for these offenses.
Theresa Bell earned her Texas Registered Municipal Clerk certification through the Texas Municipal Clerks certification program recently. Bell is the City Administrator / Secretary for the City of Teague. She is also a member of the TMCA, Inc. and the TMCA Central Texas Chapter.
All board members were present at the Teague ISD school board meeting last Tuesday, Oct. 27, where Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operations Emily Evans reported that TISD received an “A” rating of a 98 out of 100 on their Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) rating. CPA William A. Coombes gave the board their 2019-2020 annual financial and compliance report as well.
Law enforcement officers from across Freestone County gathered last Friday at The Hookin’ Bull Ranch for a special presentation from 9-yearold “Back the Blue” supporter and local entrepreneur Bo Tackett Long, who gave a handmade keychain to each and every one in attendance and sent more to those who were unable to be there.
