Geneva Carroll
Geneva Carroll, 64, of Fairfield, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022, at her residence. Memorial services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, 202at Capps Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Cotton officiating. Mrs. Carroll was born Sept. 12, 1957, in Lake Placid, FL, to parents Buck and Bernice Barwick Keen. She had been a Fairfield resident for 30 years since moving here from Florida. She married John Carroll on Oct. 6, 2018. Geneva was known for her love of fishing, cooking and collecting frogs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters.
Teddy (Ted) Douglas Mayo
ayo Teddy (Ted) Douglas Mayo was born on the Ellen Austin place just outside of Kerens on Nov. 11, 1940. It was a cold day and he arrived famished, beginning his lifelong appreciation of a timely and satisfying meal. He was the third of five children born to Hardy P. and Hazel Marie Mayo.
