Mr. and Mrs. Richard Sims celebrating 60 years

Family and friends are gathering at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 2, to celebrate 60 years of marriage with Mr. and Mrs. Richard G. Sims. Hosting the event are their families, with Debbie leading the festivities. Richard and the former Kay Frances Haroski were married June 29, 1962, at Teague Church of Christ. Richard graduated from Teague High School in 1961 and Kay followed in 1962. They are now retired and live in Pantego, Texas. They have two sons, Theron (Melissa) and Scott; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The gathering to celebrate their union will be held at the old home place on Highway 84, west of Teague. Please bring a chair to stay and visit a while!

The Teague Softball 8U Coach Pitch Satterwhite team is headed to the state tournament in Salado next week, July 4-8. The girls won second place in the District 10 tournament in Jewett last week.
