Funeral services for Kevin Gauntt, 44, were held at noon Wednesday, July 28, at First Baptist Church in Teague. Bro. Scott Matthews and Bro. Darrel Beggs officiated. Interment followed the services at Greenwood Cemetery.
John Douglas “Doug” Jones, of Donie, passed away July 24, 2021, at his home, surrounded by his family, at the age of 50. He fought a long hard battle with diabetes and kidney failure. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home with Bro. Stephen Davenport officiating. Interment followed in the Lost Prairie Cemetery. William Chappell, Bobby Jones, Shanon Miller, Odis Jones, Kris Vogel, and Robert Day served as pallbearers.Visitation with the family was from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home.Doug was born Jan. 22, 1971, in Marshall to Billy Wayne and Peggy Lou (Chappell) Jones.
Jo Olive Watson Zickuhr, 79, of Fairfield, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021, in Fairfield. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 24, at Capps Memorial Chapel with Pastors Spain and Bettye Trask officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at Stewards Mill Cemetery.
