Never walk again? ...

It all started 13 years ago when Meg Taylor was a sixth-grader at Teague ISD and was told she would never walk again. It was Meg’s journey that inspired her to become a physical therapist and to help others.

Year in Review: 2021 has its ups and downs

The year 2021 began with lots of hope … mainly hope that the COVID-19 pandemic was about over and life could go on as before. However, we endured more surges, the Delta variant and then the Omicron variant. Through it all, The Fairfield Recorder reported on more than just the pandemic. Following are some news highlights and “lowlights” from the first part of the year.

Senior Center News

Last Monday our usual crowd was down. We had lots of our folks out with doctors appointments and some out of town. We are so blessed to have such considerate and sweet people that provide others with rides to our Center. Whenever they are missing, the others do not get to come as well. Thanks to Leslie Root for the delicious blueberry creme cake slices, and cinnamon turnovers. Wow! What a way to begin Monday! “That will WORK!!!”
