Looking for the team’s first victory of the 2020 campaign, the Teague Lions will be back in action Friday night at 7:30 p.m., going on the road to face the Madisonville Mustangs (1-1).
The Mart Panthers, the defending Class 2A Division II state champions, proved to be too much for the Teague Lions in their season-opener on the road Friday night, as the Panthers took a 34-7 home win.
Property owners in Teague Independent School District will see their tax rate fall on their next tax bill more than 21 cents per $100 valuation, down from last year’s rate of $1.47 per $100 valuation to the new levy of $1.26.
The Lady Lions fell to Leon last Tuesday night, before defeating Blooming Grove, Centerville, and Bruceville-Eddy to end their week with three wins and one loss.
