Senior Nemier Herod led the offense on Friday night at Lion Stadium as he picked up 352 yards and six touchdowns as Teague defeated the Eustace Bulldogs 60-20 for their first win of the season.
The Lady Lions traveled to Madisonville on Thursday evening to take on the Caldwell Lady Hornets in the Bi-District Championship at 6pm. Teague took the first set 25-22 before falling 25-10, 25-17, and 25-18. The Lady Lions finish their season with a 20-7 overall record.
The Lady Lions will be traveling to Madisonville High School tonight, October 29, to take on the Caldwell Lady Hornets, who finished second in District 19-3A, in a Bi-District Championship match. The game is set for 6pm. All tickets are $5 and will be sold at the gate.
The team cross-country seasons of the Teague Lions and Lady Lions came to an end on Monday morning, as the squads competed in the Districts meet at the Fairfield cross-country course. Both units were unable to crack the top two finishing the teams, with the Lady Lions particularly close to making the Regionals field.
The Teague Lady Lions varsity volleyball squad defeated Elkhart and Franklin to move to 10-2 in district play and make their overall record 19-5. Fairfield is in first-place in district play. Teague is tied with Groesbeck for second-place and Franklin is in fourth-place.
