The Lady Lions fell to Leon last Tuesday night, before defeating Blooming Grove, Centerville, and Bruceville-Eddy to end their week with three wins and one loss.

The Lady Lions volleyball team is getting things going as they won three and lost two matches this past week to begin the season.
After a week of practice, the Lady Lions played Iola, Madisonville, and Navasota in scrimmages on Friday, August 7. “We got off to a rocky start and we lost one of our players due to an injury before the scrimmage as well,” head coach Ashley Montalvo said. “We will have to work hard to improve in the days to come.” The Lady Lions took on Latexo on Tuesday night. Teague travels to Central Heights on Friday to take on Central Heights and Timpson beginning at 4 p.m. On Saturday, the Lady Lions will host Normangee and Crawford beginning at 10 a.m.
