Nine runners medal in cross-country meet

The Teague Lady Lions varsity volleyball squad defeated Elkhart and Franklin to move to 10-2 in district play and make their overall record 19-5. Fairfield is in first-place in district play. Teague is tied with Groesbeck for second-place and Franklin is in fourth-place.
On Oct. 15, the Comptroller’s office will host a virtual meeting to provide updates on endangered species research and policy in East Texas.
The Lady Lions knocked off Groesbeck and Buffalo this past week to move to 8-2 in district play. Fairfield remains in first place with a 9-1 record.
The Teague Lady Lions survived two match points to claim a hardfought, five-set victory over Groesbeck in a District 20-3A match at Teague on Tuesday night.
