Lady Lions keep up pace with district wins
The Lady Lions knocked off Groesbeck and Buffalo this past week to move to 8-2 in district play. Fairfield remains in first place with a 9-1 record. Groesbeck has an 8-2 record as well and Franklin is in fourth place with a 6-4 record. Teague has an overall record of 17-5.
Last Tuesday, Teague defeated Groesbeck in five sets. The Lady Lions won 25-23 and 25-23 before falling 17-25 and 20-25. In the fifth set, Teague won in a nail-biter 18-16.
Laykin Harkcom had 5 kills, 54 assists, 20 digs, and 6 blocks. Michelle Moreno added 5 kills and 7 blocks. Adelina James had 13 digs as Carson Carroll had 19 kills, 3 aces, and 44 digs. Reagan Heggins put in 7 kills and 2 blocks. Tori Skin ner had 27 kills, 40 digs, and 5 blocks. Laura Knight added 1 ace and 24 digs.
