Military veterans from Teague and the surrounding areas were honored Friday, Nov. 12, at Teague High School and Teague Junior High, first with a breakfast and then during an assembly with students and staff.

Freestone County voters voted to approve the eight proposed amendments to the state constitution. All eight amendments look to be approved as the results are unofficial. These were passed as bills during this year’s legislative sessions but require voter approval. County voter turnout this year was at 7.84%, lower than the state average of 9% of registered voters.
The Freestone County Commissioner’s Court met Monday, Nov. 8, for a special meeting.
