Senior Center News

We all had a very busy but enjoyable week. Our numbers are smaller in the dining room although our attendance is picking back up. I surely understand and agree with those who choose to stay home a little longer, our goal is for our friends at the center to maintain good health and stay safe. Naturally I miss you all, and pray for you.

AG Paxton warns of scams

In the wake of Gov. Greg Abbott announcing Federal Emergency Management Agency approval for Federal Emergency Declaration, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton today warned that state law prohibits price gouging during a declared disaster.

FCGMA ‘Back the Blue’ in special event

The Freestone County Game Management Association (FCGMA) held their 5th Annual Back the Blue Law Enforcement Appreciation Dinner on Saturday night, August 22, at the Twisted Vines Event Center in Fairfield. Trooper MacMillan won a Glock and DPS Corporal Carter won a Yeti Cooler. The FCGMA Annual Banquet will be held on Saturday, September 19, at the Twisted Vines Event Center.
