Tri-County to host tourney

Labor Day weekend will be full of excitement at the Tri-County Golf Club at The Vineyards, as the club hosts the fifth annual Joe Max Wilson Club Family Fun Day tournament.

Tee off for the event will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 5, with the tournament in a four-person, 18-hole scramble format. Golfers may bring their own team to participate. Entry fee is $35 per person, which includes green fees, a half-cart and a meal for golfers.

While golfing, the entry fee also entitles golfer’s families to a variety of activities around the club.

Families may participate in a horse shoe throwing contest, have access to the swimming pool, as well as have ice cream and popsicles for children.

In addition to the club restaurant being open for the festivities, non-golfers may purchase a BBQ plate for $10.
