Although there was no football game this past week, homecoming festivities were still held over the weekend. Senior Kendall Thompson was crowned the 2020 Teague High School Homecoming Queen on Friday morning at the Homecoming pep rally. Sophomore Denham Hunt was named Homecoming Duchess.
Junkin’ Jo’s Antiques and Boutiques held their ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday morning, Oct. 24, at 10 a.m. Patti Jo Whittington owns the business which is located at 325 E Loop 255 in Teague. The City of Teague board of aldermen met on Monday night, Oct. 19, and tackled a lengthy agenda, approving multiple ordinances that dealt with finances and the budget.
The Teague homecoming football game against Eustace was scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 6:30 p.m. However, the game has been rescheduled for next Saturday, Oct. 31, at 2 p.m. All other homecoming festivities will remain this weekend.
The time has come to kick off the annual Teague Christmas Angel program, which will be in its fifth year of operation in 2020.
