Fairfield native and longtime Freestone County Historical Museum volunteer Jo Olive Watson Zickhur, who passed away last week, left a collection of 103 stories in a book, “Rememberings: A Collection of Recollections.” The stories are all short, averaging 3 to 5 typed pages each, and she had given verbal permission for the museum to use them.
New Teague High School Dean of Students Bryce Perkins always thought he’d be a city person when he was growing up, but now finds himself in a small town with a family and a home. He says that now, he “couldn’t imagine it any other way.”
Teague ISD administrators are gearing up for the 2021-2022 school year and have some upcoming events they are excited to announce since they were not held last year due to COVID-19.
