The Angelic Hosts came for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Foreman Daniels on Friday, May 21, 2020 in the Providence Health Center, Waco, Texas among loving family and devoted friends. The following services were held according to the guidelines: Viewing was held May 29 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Moore’s Angelic Funeral Chapel with the family present from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Funeral Services were May 30 at 1 p.m. in the Fairfield Missionary Baptist Church. 326 Huckaby Street, Fairfield, with the pastor, Rev. Alicia Polydore, Pastor, Eulogist. Interment followed in the Antioch Cemetery, N. 1st Street, Teague. Mrs. Daniels was the fourth child of the late Foster and Lutisia Foreman born in Freestone County. She was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and did additional study at Prairie View A&M University. She has been a Clerk VI for The Dallas Police Dept, owner of a Child Daycare Center and retired as a case manager with the EEOIC. Mary Elizabeth is predeceased by her loving husband: Pastor Roy B. Sample, Sr; parents: Foster and Lutisia Foreman; Brothers: Lorenzo and Alvin; Sister: Annie Ruth Sloan and Niece, Tanya A. Coleman. Surviving Mary Elizabeth are: her loyal and dedicated husband, Eddie B. Daniels, Dew, Texas; daughter: Maya N. Carter, Teague; unconditionally devoted sisters: Doris Price-Nealy (Roger); Lovie Whyte; W. LaRue Lynah, all of Teague. Her grandsons whom she adored: Mylan Shed, Marshall, Tx and Mychal Shed, Decorah, Iowa; Loyal by Love Son and Daughter: Joseph and Elizabeth Daniels; a host of supportive relatives, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Doris Lanelle Inderman Whitten, 85, was held on Wednesday, June 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Bro. Johnny Veretto officiated. Interment followed the service at Greenwood Cemetery.
Kenneth C. Boyd, 65, of Fairfield, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at his residence. Graveside memorial services were held 2:00 p.m. on May 26 at Rome Cemetery near Athens, Texas with Pastor Jimmy Cotton officiating. Kenneth was born November 21, 1954 in Midland, Texas to parents Elton Allen and Patsy Ruth Trammell Boyd. He graduated from Texas Tech University in Lubbock in 1978 with a Bachelor’s degree in wildlife biology. He had been a resident of Freestone County for 28 years moving from Athens, TX. He married Becky Donaldson on May 12, 1992 in Fairfield. He retired after 20 years from Standard Labs where he was employed as a lab technician where he was responsible for testing coal. Kenneth loved to hunt, fish and collect guns. He also had a love for golf. He loved his friends and family very much. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Frances Pickens, 89, of Oakwood, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2020 in Fairfield. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. May 22 at Fairfield Cemetery with her son, Bro. Walter Pickens officiating. Interment followed. Pallbearers were Joe Reid, Larry Pickens, II, Trenton Pickens, Chris Pickens, James William Grant, Joe Hughes and Brent Beene. H. Randy Turner served as an honorary pallbearer.
