All five City of Teague board of aldermen were present at the Monday, April 4, meeting as the outdoor siren warning system was the hot topic of the night. The meeting had been postponed from March 21 due to the round of storms that were moving through the area.
Teague resident Scott Kormos started riding horses and attending team-roping events with his dad at 7years old. He soon began swinging the rope around himself. Once he got used to riding and roping, he started team roping, but it got boring, Kormos said. He didn’t like relying on a partner, and there was always a lot of standing around and wasting time.
Citizens will have the chance to meet and greet the candidates running for City of Teague positions at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 7, at the Teague Hotel. The event is being hosted by the Teague Chamber of Commerce.
