Businesses in the City of Teague were able to open their doors again on Friday, May 1st, after being closed for more than a month due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, businesses could only open at 50% occupancy due to regulations.
This year, Nursing Home Week is set from May 11 through May 15. Area residents in nursing homes and staff are invited to joined a parade celebration Monday, May 11, at 2 p.m. in Teague.
The Teague Chronicle has established a Community Marketing Grant Program to assist locally owned businesses during the COVID-19 crisis.
Teague ISD staff recently announced that Katie Carlson has been awarded two Navarro College Choir scholarships for the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 season. One scholarship will go towards tuition and fees and the other is a book scholarship. “Katie brings to us leadership experience, sight-singing ability and of course, a lovely voice,” Director Mykle Ann Wright said. “She will participate in the College Chorale and the Show Choir.”
