Court holds tax rate hearing, discusses election position

The county tax rate, budget, and other matters were on the table for Freestone County Commissioner’s Court this past Thursday, holding a Special Meeting that included the Public Hearing for the proposed tax rate of .409 per $100 valuation.
No citizen spoke in opposition of the rate, which will be adopted during the court’s Aug. 19 meeting.
