It was a short meeting to kick off the year for the Teague Board of Aldermen Tuesday evening, Jan 18. All board members were present except for alderman Ryan Mathison. Alderman Chris Nickleberry attended the meeting online.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ will enforce a COVID-19 vaccination mandate for healthcare workers nationwide after a federal court dismissed a Texas lawsuit Jan. 19.
We were closed last Monday, which made for a shorter week.
VFW Post 5872 Commander Roger Brooke, left, presents E.E. “ Heavy” West, a lifetime Post 5872 member, with a “Bronze Lifetime Legacy Membership.” Also in the photo are his daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Kevin Gloverk of Clear Lake, and Post member Donald Parks. West is a life-long resident of Teague, a World War II veteran, and the oldest member of VFW Post 5872 in Fairfield. The “Bronze Legacy Lifetime Membership” consists of a plaque, a framed certificate, pen and a Bronze Metal Lifetime Membership card from VFW National.
