Whenever I’m at a business event, somebody brings up lousy jobs he had as a kid. I can relate. Personally, I’ve been canned more times than green beans.
Ted and his dad needed some cows to stock their little ranch in Oklahoma, and they needed ‘em right away. A local trader solved their problem and injected a couple loads into them. By fall Ted began to notice one calf that stood taller than the rest. Must’uve had some Chianina blood coursing through his veins. They called him Alf.
They say that nothing is certain in life except death and taxes. While those two certainties are undeniable, we need to make sure that family-owned businesses, including farms and ranches, aren’t taxed to death.
Every now and then you get a real life test of a theory. In this case we are talking about COVID vaccination rates. One theory is that for whatever reason, a certain percentage of the population believes that vaccinations are not a good ides and in certain states the vaccination rates are under 40% and in certain rural counties in Texas the rate is under 30%.
