Yoe overcomes Mexia with big plays in opener

Mexia jumped out in front of Cameron Yoe by two touchdowns to begin its football season Friday night.
However, the Yoemen came back to score 34 unanswered points and claim a 34-21 victory at Yoe Field in Cameron.
Like last season’s opener, Mexia scored on a 90-plus yard run on its first offensive play. Unlike last year, the Blackcats were not down 14-0 before they ran that play.
