Team cross-country seasons end at districts

The team cross-country seasons of the Teague Lions and Lady Lions came to an end on Monday morning, as the squads competed in the Districts meet at the Fairfield cross-country course. Both units were unable to crack the top two finishing the teams, with the Lady Lions particularly close to making the Regionals field.

The Lady Lions finished with 65 team points based on finishes in fourth, ninth, 15th, 16th and 21st-place in scoring. This put the team just two points behind Franklin for second-place, which would have secured the team a spot in the Regional meet.

Fairfield took the team victory, as well as the individual victory via freshman Madox Mitchael.
