Superintendent Skinner comments on school finances

Property owners in Teague Independent School District will see their tax rate fall on their next tax bill more than 21 cents per $100 valuation, down from last year’s rate of $1.47 per $100 valuation to the new levy of $1.26.

The new rate is two cents below the maximum allowed without voter approval.
