Rice holds on to edge Goats

An area publication proclaimed Saturday that the Rice Bulldogs had gained revenge Friday night for their 60-3 defeat by the Groesbeck Goats last season with a 23-20 win at Rice.
But it was mainly 20 seniors departed by graduation from the Goat roster who inflicted all that damage on the Bulldogs in 2018.
Rice slipped past a young Goat football team that, according to Groesbeck coach Jerry Bomar, had a chance to salvage a victory.
