Persons MVP of all-star game

Kiley Persons was chosen Most Valuable Player hºof the Texas Girls Coaches Association All-Star softball game played recently in Austin. During the game, Persons had two hits, one of which was an in-the-park home run; scored two runs and had two RBIs. Persons’ team won the game 8-4. She was one of 28 softball players chosen in classifi cations 1A-4A to be a TGCA All-Star.

This award fi nished off a very successful junior season. Persons was selected District 18-3A Offensive MVP, Lady Lion MVP, First Team Super Cen-Tex, First Team TGCA All-State and First Team TSWA All-State this season. She already has committed to play softball at Harding University after high school. Persons is the daughter of Kevin and Natalie Persons and the granddaughter of Sue Persons.
