Lions season comes to an end

Teague’s Varsity Boys Basketball team’s season came to an end after facing a 27-point loss to the Little River Academy Bumblebees.

The Lions came out to a rough start against the Bumblebees.

With the aid of Jake Callahan, Jehmel Rice and Nemier Herod, Teague managed to land 9 points in the quarter putting them a great deal behind Academy’s 17 points, 9-17. Academy continued to shoot circles around the Teague team in the second quarter, tallying an additional 18 points.

While the Lions performed slightly better in the field, their 10 points were not enough to catch up to the Bumblebees. The Lions went into half-time down 16 points, 19-35.

Teague continued to fumble through the third quarter, defensively being shut down by Academy.
