Lions notch up two more wins

The battle between the Teague Lions and Elkhart Elks started in a no nonsense style of play before the Lions honed down their opponent for the win 65-44 on Jan. 23 at home.

Teague coach Chris Hair said, “I really did not expect this kind of defense from Elkhart. They sent an odd front zone last time with either a 3-2 or a 1-3-1 defense. That is what we expected coming in.”

Five minutes into the game the Elks had the lead 6-12 before Coach Hair called for a time out.
