Lions fall to Groesbeck; Defeat Crockett 20-8

Teague fell to Groesbeck 8-5 and defeated Crockett 20-8 last week. The Lions are now 2-16-2 overall and are 2-7 in district play.

On Tuesday night, Tegaue hosted the Groesbeck Goats and came up short 8-5.

The Goats took a 6-0 lead after scoring a run in the top of the first inning, a run in the top of the third inning, and four runs in the top of the fourth inning.

The Lions responded and scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to make it a 6-2 game. Caden Gonzales and Barrett Maggard crossed home plate for Teague.

Groesbeck added a run in the sixth inning and a run in the seventh inning to extend their lead to 8-2.

Teague scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, but it wasn enough as Groesbeck took home the 8-5 road win. Jake Callahan and Connor Buck scored for the Lions in the last inning.
