Lions drop first district bout

Coming off a hard fought win against Hempstead, the Teague Lions hoped to carry that momentum into the first district game of the season against Grandview Friday night. Unfortunately, the Lions came up short against the Zebras walking away with a 13-35 loss.

In the first quarter of play, the Lions were holding back the Zebras and the first three drives of the game were scoreless.

The Zebras took over the ball on the 33-yard line and quarterback, Dane Jentsch, threw a nice pass long downfield but was covered quickly and completely by Lion Drew Satterwhite, for the incompletion.
