Lions ‘Dublin’ down on Ws
The Teague Lions are rolling into their bye week on a two-game win streak.
They are rolling so smoothly that a 57-7 victory Friday, Sept. 15, over Dublin at University of Mary Hardin Baylor seemed a bit ho-hum to some.
The Lions didn’t allow Dublin to score a touchdown on offense. The opponent’s only score came on a kickoff return with 11:37 to play in the first half, narrowing the score to 13-7. After that, Teague defended its end zone, taking advantage of Dublin miscues – like Trevor Cooper did just 2 minutes and 40 second later. He pounced on a loose ball following a bad snap on a punt attempt, setting the Lions up on the Dublin 9.
