Lady Lions take several top all-district honors

The Teague Lady Lions volleyball team had one of the best seasons in school history, winning a bi-district championship for the first time in school history.

So, it’s no surprise they rivaled perennial powerhouse Leon, which won District 18-3A with an undefeated district record, for post-season honors.

Teague senior Madison Steen earned Offensive Player of the Year, and fellow senior Caelyn Thompson earned Setter of the year. Teague coach Ashley Montalvo, who was named Coach of the Year, will be happy to have sophomore Macy Guerrero, the district’s Setter of the Year, back for two more years.
