Lady Lions take the Lady Elks 57-27
The Lady Varsity Lions travelled to Elkhart after a loss on Tuesday against the Fairfield Lady Eagles to repolish their district record, and re-establish their dominance.
Underclassmen Reagan Heggins, Alexis Dancer, Kori Pillete, and Jolee Haley were starters in Friday’s game, along with senior Laura Knight.
The Lady Lions quickly began to make light work of the Elkhart Lady Elks dropping 17 points, and establishing an eight point lead by holding the Lady Elks to 9 points, 17-9. Defensively, Teague continued to keep Elkhart on lock as they only allowed the Lady Elks to score 6 points in the quarter. The Lady Lions shifted up a gear on offense tallying 21 points, solidifying an untouchable 23-point lead going into the second half 38-15.
