Lady Lions roar back to grab silver bracket title

Thursday, Aug. 8, didn’t look like too good a day for Coach Ashley Montalvo’s Teague Lady Lion volleyball team.
They had entered the Fairfield varsity tournament and started the day off okay with a 25-20, 25-14 win over Wortham. Ashlyn Forge, with four kills and four blocks, and Mary Guerrero with four kills and one block led them to that win.But the wheels came off after that.
The Lady Trojans decisioned them in two sets 25-19 and 25-17.
