Lady Lions prepare to battle
The Lady Lions continue their 12-game winning streak and 10-0 in district play. Last Tuesday Teague played Frankston with an easy victory 63-32. Now the Lady Lions are getting ready to wrap up their last two games of the season: Feb. 2 against Buffalo at home; and Feb. 6 at Malakoff.
During the first half of district games Teague had a rough time against Buffalo skinning the Bisons 61-59 and a slight edge over Malakoff 60-53.
Teague coach Chris Nickleberry said, “I expect another battle with both teams. It is good for us and the them that we battle back-to-back right before playoffs. Once the second round of district starts, we have a win or go home mentality. So we treat our remaining games as playoff games so when we head into the playoffs we are mentally prepared.”
