Lady Lions celebrate 2-point nailbiter against Franklin

Teague’s Varsity Lady Lions traveled to Franklin to compete in what seemed to be a steady battle for a win, but turned into a fourth-quarter nail-biter.

In the competition against Franklin the Lady Lions set out to a steady pace. Franklin’s defense proved to be tough to work around, but Teague still managed to tally 11 points in the quarter. Facing Teague’s equally tough defense, Franklin fell slightly behind Teague’s offense tallying 10 points, 11-10 Trying to keep a steady hand on the competition, Teague’s offense added 14 points to the board. Still following closely behind Franklin added 13 points to the board, proving this will not be an easy win for Teague, 25-23.

Teague’s offense began to shake off Franklin’s defense as they managed to land 17 points from the field, and 2 made free throws. Teague’s defense stayed strong holding Franklin to 14 points in the third quarter, 44-37.
