Lady Lions battle for win against Leon, 62-44

The Teague Lady Lions had a battle in the second half against the Leon Lady Cougars at the Lion’s Den on Nov. 27 before claiming a victory 62-44.
Teague Girls Head Coach Chris Nickleberry said, “We cannot underestimate Leon. I know their coach and I knew they would come out and give us all they had.”
The Lady Lions came out strong in the first quarter topping Leon by 10 points, 17-7. The Teague defense kept Leon out of the paint forcing them to shoot outside and caused several turnovers. Reagan Heggins worked the paint on offense taking the fouls all quarter while Mallaorie Sims made several steals.
