Bulldogs storm past Saints in fourth quarter to take second win

Last season’s Wortham Bulldogs game against the Dallas First Baptist Saints was called due to lightning with the Saints up 34-0.

Friday’s game had plenty of lightning again – not from the sky but from the field as the two teams combined for 136 points in Wortham’s 70-66 home victory.

Wortham senior quarterback Brandon Coker flashed for 283 yards rushing and six touchdowns, the last a 41-yard run that gave the Bulldogs a 70-60 lead with 1 minute 45 seconds to play in the game.
