The Teague Lady Lions volleyball team may be setting a trend winning backto-back championships and topping off with high awards with district honors.
Last year the Lady Lions were Bi-District champions under the leadership of head volleyball coach Ashley Montalvo. She was also voted 2017 District 18-3A Coach of the Year.
This year, after a shaky start during preseason, Teague never lost a district game and made their claim as sole District 20-3A champions. To top it off, Montalvo was voted 2018 District 20-3A Coach of the Year for the second year straight.
