the Angelic Hosts came for Willie Odell Harris on Saturday, March 3, 2018, in the Parkview Regional Hospital among loving family and devoted friends.Viewing and Visitation will be held Friday, March 9 from 4-7 p.m. at the Salvation Lighthouse Church Of God In Christ, 912 North Lena Street, Mexia.A homegoing Celebration for Harris will be held Saturday, March 10, at 11 a.m., in the Northcrest Church Of Christ, 918 Tehuacana Rd, in Mexia, with Pastor Charles Washington o ciating and Superintendent Charles Beard, Eulogist. Interment will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, State Hwy. 84, Mexia. Harris was born in Tehuacana to Bozie Harris and Marie Brown Harris.He attended the Dunbar-Douglass public schools in Mexia. Odell and Betty Ruth Jones were married on April 19, 1985 in Dallas.His career of employment included truck driver for Youngblood Construction Co, Waco, e Mexia State School Maintenance Dept., and e Mexia Independent School District. He served as a deacon and Sunday School superintendent at Salvation Lighthouse Church Of God In Christ under the pastorage of Superintendent Don Manning. Harris is survived by: his beloved wife, Betty Harris; daughters: Culetta Beachum and husband, Kelvin, Mexia; Patricia Gray and husband, Michael, Mexia; and Shannon Bouye and husband, David, Waco; brother: Willie Otis Harris and wife, Claudia, DeSoto; sisters:Evella Smith, Dallas; and Emma Burks, DeSoto; grandchildren: Kevin Beachum, Jr and wife, Jessica, Chandler, Ariz.; Krystal Beachum, Washington, D.C.; Jacob Beachum, Denison; Brechelle Beachum, Pineville, La.; Tracia Harris, Mexia; and Kaiya Harris, Mexia; great-grandchildren: Rhylen Beachum, Kalena Beachum, Jacob Beachum, Jr., and Kelvin Beachum, III; brothers- In-law:Herman Pinkard and wife, Helen, Elgin, Okla.; Dwain Jones, Jr. and wife, Liduvina, Mexia; Leon Jones (deceased) and wife, Carolyn; Billy Jones and wife, Glenda, Mexia; Albert Jones and wife, Florence, Corsicana; Charles Jones and wife, Annetta, Mexia; sisters-Inlaw:  Rosie Gibson and husband, Chester, Mexia; Brenda Kirven and husband, Johnny, Jr, Coolidge;a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
