Graveside services for Wendy Pierce will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at Greenwood Cemetery in Teague. Brother David West will officiate.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov.12, at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague.

Ms. Pierce passed away Sunday, Nov. 7, 2021, at Freestone Medical Center.

Wendy was born in Michigan City, Ind., to parents, John Edwards and Bernice Hall. She grew up in Long Beach, Calif., and moved to Teague in 1995. Wendy was the manager of Dairy Queen in Mexia and Teague for many years. She loved all her kids and would do anything for anyone and loved to help others. Wendy was famous for making candy bouquets for every occasion.

She is survived by her niece, Amey Pierce of Teague; her nephew, Dakota Pierce of Teague; her stepdaughter, Ashley Lopez and husband Martin of Teague; her stepson, Michael Edwards of Judsonia, Ariz.; her companion and soulmate, James Waters; 16 grandchildren; nephews, Jeremiah Itchue and Steven Mattingly; her sister-in-laws, Brittnay Pierce and Shannon Claunch; and adopted nephew, Jonathan Ridenour and wife Brianna.

Wendy was preceded in death by her parents, Bernice Pierce and husband Robert; her sister, Georgia Pierce; her brother, Vernon Pierce; her daughter, Cynthia Edwards; and her son, Robert Edwards.
