Graveside services for Virgie Pingleton, 103, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, at Salem Cemetery near Teague, with the Rev. Richard Gillet officiating.

There was not a visitation at the funeral home.

Mrs. Pingleton passed away Thursday, July 14, at Teague Nursing Home.

Virgie was born on July 12, 1919, in Freestone to parents Fannie and Ed Cameron. She grew up in Limestone County but lived all of her adult life in Teague. She loved working in her flowerbeds and was very proud of her flowers. She also enjoyed making and selling crafts.

She is survived by her two grandsons, Rusty Beene and wife Vickie, and Tony Pingleton; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two nephews, Kenneth Yarbrough and Donald Yar brough and wife Cheryl; one niece, Carmen Keiningham and husband Kenny; special friend, Cathy Taylor; and other relatives.

Mrs. Pingleton was preceded in death by her husband, James Ira Pingleton; her daughter, Betty Marie Beene; her son, Joe Pingleton; one grandson, James Ronald Beene; one great-grandson, Gary Kelley; and her siblings.
