VERNON RAY FAILS

Vernon Ray Fails, 85, formerly of Fairfield, died Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at the home of his daughter in Weatherford, Texas. Graveside services were held 1 p.m. Sept. 11 at Lake Chapel Cemetery with Evangelist Don Thornton officiating. Pallbearers were Scott Stone, Clint Lake, Dalton Fails, Eric Arthur, Wesley Cochran and Michael Pipho.

Mr. Fails was born Dec. 16, 1934 in Freestone County to parents William Young and Laura May Gunter Fails. He retired from AA Manufacturing in 1995; he was a machinist. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, James William Fails; Carl Gunter

Fails; Toby Howard Fails and Earl Bradford Fails; one sister, Fannie Gertrude Pasley.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Michael Pipho of Traverse City, MI; Kim Fails Lake and husband Clint of Midlothian, TX; Vernon Ray Fails, II and wife Laura of Wamego, KS; Shannon Fails Stone and husband Scott of Weatherford, TX; one sister, Linda Louise Fails Sliger; grandchildren, Alan and Michael Pipho; Eric and Brittany Arthur; Alexis Lake; Sam and Josie Fails; many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
