Steven Ray Crowell

Funeral services for Steven Ray Crowell were held at 10 a.m., Monday, March 26, at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Pastor Rusty McMahon officiated. Interment followed the services at Cotton Gin Cemetery. Visitation was held on Sunday with the family present from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Crowell passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018, at the Teague Nursing Home. He was born in Teague on June 14, 1979, to Bob & Gayle Crowell. Steven had a very giving spirit and fun loving personality. He enjoyed fishing, sitting around camp fires, riding around and listening to country music. Steven was a Baptist and was saved at an early age at 8th Avenue Baptist Church in Teague. He is survived by three brothers, Anthony Crowell & wife Lynelle of Baton Rouge, LA, Tim Stricklin of Minden, LA, and Michael Crowell & wife Kela of Mexia; two sisters, Teri Cockerell & husband John of Mexia; and Christi Hill & husband Heath of Teague; two aunts, Betty Jones, and Ruby Mathews; one uncle, James Calhoun; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
