Shirley Denise Missildine

Memorial services for Shirley Missildine, 65, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Pastor Donnie Suits and Chaplain Andrew Weitner will officiate.

Ms. Missildine passed away on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019, at Teague Nursing & Rehab.

Shirley was born on April 30, 1954, in Teague, to parents Elmer Nevills and Dorothy Seaman Nevills. Ms. Missildine was a housewife and stayat-home mom. She loved holidays, especially Christmas, and Hallmark movies. Shirley enjoyed dancing, watching her husband sing karaoke, and cooking for her friends. She loved having her grandbabies around, Si Blaine and Madison, and K.K. and Logan.

Ms. Missildine is survived by two sons, Leslie Paul Missildine and Mark Russell Missildine; “special” daughter, Jessica Hall and husband Tim and their children, Madison Barnett, Si Blaine, Avrie and Hunter. She is also survived by special family and friends, Dusty Newsom and wife Jennifer and their children, Terry, Brayden and Gage; Haley Newsom and children, Mahala and Eli; Amy Curlett and husband Mike and their children, Makayla and Logan; and Lea Grantland and husband Greg. She is also survived by one sister, Gloria West.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Nevills; her father, Elmer Nevills; her husband, Bonner Missildine Jr.; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Juanita and Bonner Missildine; grandparents, Ted and Hattie Seaman, and Delma and Acie Nevills.
